Oscar Piastri claimed his second victory of the season in comprehensive style, but who faired well in our latest driver rankings? Let's find out:
Oscar Piastri - 20pts
It was a champions performance from Oscar to claim pole position on Saturday, and then convincingly control the race on Sunday. A brilliant performance in every aspect and there are no doubts now that he is firmly in contention for the driver's championship.
George Russell - 19pts
George had another great weekend, putting in a brilliant lap to qualify on the front row, and then overcome a 1 grid place penalty to finish on the podium for the third time in four races. It was even more impressive considering the fact his car had communication issues in the latter half of the race. He's had the perfect start to the season to make sure that if Mercedes can catch up to McLaren, he won't be too far behind to launch a title challenge.
Charles Leclerc - 18pts
It was a good weekend for Charles who got the most out of the upgraded Ferrari and once again had the clear upper hand over Lewis. He'll be disappointed not to have got on the podium, but there was little he could have done to keep Lando behind.
Pierre Gasly - 17pts
A brilliant Saturday set Pierre up perfectly to score Alpine's first points of the season. P5 on the road and P4 on the grid was far beyond what was expected from Alpine this weekend, and even though he knew he would be overtaken by the quicker cars behind, Pierre did a good job on Sunday to score 6 points. It could have been a P6 finish for the Frenchman, however Max had just enough speed to get past Pierre on the final lap. Either way a great weekend for Pierre and something to build on for the rest of the season.
Esteban Ocon - 16pts
After a disappointing Q2 which saw Esteban go into the barriers, he recovered in brilliant fashion on Sunday to score 4 more points for Haas. A perfectly timed first pit stop saw him leap up the order after starting P14 and he held off those behind well.
Kimi Antonelli - 15pts
Despite finishing just outside the points in P11, Kimi had arguably his most impressive weekend in F1. In qualifying, he was marginally behind Russell and had qualified on the second row before receiving a 1-place grid penalty. He looked set for big points on Sunday but a crazy 3 stop strategy from Mercedes saw him plummet down the order. He showed his skill with a brilliant manoeuvre on Verstappen and deserved more.
Ollie Bearman - 14pts
Somehow Ollie managed to finish in the final points-paying position after starting plumb last. A brilliant launch off the line got him some early places and then a mix of great race craft and strategy saw him climb into the points. Brilliant once again, just qualifying was the only letdown.
Lando Norris - 13pts
Slightly disappointing weekend for Lando who was evidently down after his teammate won in dominant fashion and he could only manage P3. That being said, for a 'down' weekend, he still went away with a podium and the championship lead. Qualifying was definitely a letdown, but a great launch saw him make up crucial places off the line. He couldn't quite close down George on the final stint but he still showed decent pace.
Max Verstappen - 12pts
Red Bull had by far their worst weekend of the season, with neither driver able to score a top 5 finish, however, Max once again got the most out of his package in the end after having struggled mid-race. A well-timed move on Gasly on the final lap saw him limit the damage to his title hopes, but if the Red Bull doesn't improve, he'll be giving up his crown.
Lewis Hamilton - 11pts
Another weekend with Lewis slower than Charles, however a well-executed race saw Lewis move up from P9 to P5 and win driver of the day.
Yuki Tsunoda - 10pts
A first points-paying weekend for Yuki in Red Bull however there is still work to be done. He managed to scrape into Q3, however was nine-tenths off when it mattered in Q3 and started P10. His race was relatively quiet but he made a couple of nice moves. Positive signs but Red Bull will be expecting more in the coming weeks.
Isack Hadjar - 9pts
Not quite the stellar weekend we have been used to so far from Isack however he still had the measure on his teammate. With the Alpine as strong as it was this weekend and Williams strong again, it was always going to be difficult for Isack.
Jack Doohan - 8pts
It looked at one point like being Jack's first points in F1 after a strong P11 in qualifying, narrowly missing out on Q3. However his final stint on the hards didn't quite work and he fell down out of the points. Another nearly weekend for Jack but some good signs he is making the progress needed to stay in F1.
Nico Hulkenberg - 7pts
Another quiet weekend for both Saubers, comfortably out of the points. Nico was the quicker driver once again and finished P13. He was later DSQ'd for excessive skid block wear.
Alex Albon - 6pts
Alex's first disappointing weekend and it all stemmed from a poor Q1 exit. He made up some ground in the race but couldn't quite challenge for the points.
Carlos Sainz - 5pts
Carlos finally got the better of Alex on Saturday but was let down after a disappointing Sunday. An incident with Yuki Tsunoda cost him massively and eventually resulted in his retirement, whilst he also picked up a ten-second penalty for forcing Antonelli off.
Fernando Alonso - 4pts
Aston Martin's dreadful start to the season continued in Bahrain and Fernando, despite clearly being quicker than Lance, was nowhere near the points. It feels harsh to rank him so low with his hardware clearly holding him back.
Gabriel Bortoleto - 3pts
Not much to say once again about Gabriel who was outshone by Nico again. He is putting up relatively decent showings in the slowest car on the grid but the package just isn't allowing him to shine.
Lance Stroll - 2pts
The first couple of weekends offered plenty of promise for a revival of Lance Stroll, however the past two weekends have been incredibly poor and Bahrain was definitely one to forget. P19 in qualifying and finishing second last of the finishers isn't good enough.
Liam Lawson - 1pt
Liam's early season struggles continued with another poor weekend. A third Q1 exit in four races set him up for a difficult Sunday and he then picked up three penalty points after two incidents on track. Liam has to step it up soon if he wants to stay in F1.
So as for the overall standings, Oscar Piastri takes the lead after his maximum points haul, whilst Mex Verstappen and George Russell are tied in 2nd. Esteban Ocon climbs into the top ten in place of Isack Hadjar who drops out.
